Charles Stanley bolsters financial planning arm – Money Marketing

Charles Stanley strengthened its financial planning services across the United Kingdom with four appointments.
This is part of Charles Stanley’s effort to continue building its footprint in regional offices.
The company currently has 35 financial planners working alongside over 169 investment managers across 23 regional offices.
Charles Stanley managing director of financial planning Andrew Meigh said: “Our clients value the expert advice provided by our professionally qualified planners, and I am extremely pleased to add four senior and talented people to the team.
“Especially of note is our ambition to expand financial planning services in the North to complement our bespoke investment management service and provide a holistic wealth management service.
“A strong regional presence in Manchester and Leeds allows us to offer the excellent personal and local service that our clients have come to expect from us.”
Harry Bell, a chartered wealth manager and certified financial professional, joins the team in Manchester from Close Brother Asset Management.
He has over 15 years’ experience in the wealth and investment industry, focusing on high-net-worth families, entrepreneurs, and family business owners.
John Moseley will join the Charles Stanley’s Leeds office from Allots Chartered Accountants, where he was an independent financial adviser.
Moseley has over 27 years’ experience as a financial adviser, starting as a senior financial adviser at NatWest.
Stephen Hughes, a chartered financial planner, joins Charles Stanley in Edinburgh from Schroders Personal Wealth.
He previously worked as a financial adviser at Lloyds Banking Group and Bank of Scotland. He then moved across to the new wealth management joint venture between Lloyds Banking Group and Schroders – Schroders Personal Wealth.
Hughes started his career in 2006 as a financial adviser at Bank of Scotland.
Gary Quick joins the Exeter office from Francis Clark Financial Planning.
He holds chartered status and is a pension, tax planning and investment specialist. Quick has over 20 years of industry experience.
Charles Stanley recruited Tom Hawkins as head of strategic partnerships last October. He joined from Quilter where he was business development manager working with key regional and national IFA firms across the UK.
